MORE FELONIES FOR CONVICTED CHILD PORN SUSPECT
A Williamsport man accused of trying to meet a child online is scheduled to be back in court December ninth. Court records say 57-year-old Daniel Ade was out on unsecured bail at the time of his latest arrest and was already on parole for a 2008 child pornography conviction. Police say Ade believed he was chatting with a 13-year-old girl before being confronted by an online predator group. He now faces multiple felony charges and has been denied bail.
POLICE WATCHING FOR PORCH PIRATES
Sunbury Police are warning residents to be on alert for package thefts during the holiday season. Chief Travis Bremigen says reports of so-called porch pirates are increasing, with most thefts happening during the daytime. He urges residents to bring deliveries inside as soon as possible, use signature delivery when available, and ask neighbors for help if needed. Police are stepping up patrols and encourage anyone who sees suspicious activity to report it immediately.

Pennsylvania anglers can now purchase their 2026 fishing licenses, permits, and gift vouchers through the Fish and Boat Commission. The commission says options include multi-year licenses, digital proof on smart devices, gift vouchers, and a limited-edition collectible brook trout license button. The PFBC also reminds boaters that life jackets are mandatory on small boats through April thirtieth.

Under the new ordinance, appointments will be staggered through 2031 and made by the mayor.
