David Bisbal is looking back at some of Spanish-language music’s most enduring romantic songs with Eternos, his tenth studio album. In announcing the project, the Spanish singer described it as a tribute to the music of the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s that helped shape his own musical identity.
During a recent interview about the album, Bisbal explained that he wanted to approach each song from his own perspective rather than imitate the artists who originally made them famous. The track list includes new interpretations of classics associated with performers such as Nino Bravo, José José, Juan Gabriel, Raphael, Jeanette and Julio Iglesias.
Songs featured on Eternos include Amor Eterno, Te Quiero, Te Quiero, Abrázame Muy Fuerte, El Amar y el Querer and Vivir Así Es Morir de Amor.
The album also marks a shift from Bisbal’s recent contemporary pop work, allowing him to explore an era of romantic music he has admired for years.
